Well, this would easily be a subject I could freely write on-- how our life, like a yo-yo, has had many ups and downs over the years, etc... But I am actually literally talking about Yo-Yo's and our new life with them! Stephen accepted a job with a company called All for KIDZ (www.allforkidz.com) where he will be a NED Show Presenter, doing yo-yo tricks and relaying positive messages to kids during school assemblies. We will be moving to the Philadelphia area once again, where he will be 'stationed'. He will then travel around PA, NJ, DE, NY, MD doing assemblies, and then travel further away one week out of the month for more shows. In the summer, he will get to travel to England and Australia. Our good friend Dan has been a Yo-Yo Man for 2 years now and referred Stephen to the company. We are very impressed with the men Stephen will be working with and the ministry impact his new position will have. There are some down sides to moving 11 hours away, the main one being moving far from my family. Thankfully, everyone has been very supportive of our move even though we will miss each other. One perk of the job, is that Stephen can keep his airmiles that will accumulate, so that will enable us to visit back here in MI or have family visit us in PA. Another thing we are excited about is living close to Stephen's family. The boys will love being able to see their cousins alot more. There are many more exciting perks of the job that we are looking forward to.
There is so much to get done before we can move. We have a house to sell. We have a business to sell (which is thankfully coming together). We have a truck to sell. We have about 1/2 of our belongings to sell (we will have to move into a place about a third of the size of our current home due to the much higher cost of living there.) We have to find a place to live (we found a condo community, but no availablity yet) pack, move, get Jonathan enrolled in kindergarten, find new Doctors, insurances, etc.. all before Stephen has to fly to Seattle to begin a 6 week training program (thankfully, they will send him home on some of the weekends during this time ) Also, my brother is getting married in Sept. in Chicago, so we will be flying there from Philly-- probably just me and the boys and Stephen will fly from where he is training) AND we are trying to breathe through it all!!!! Surprisingly enough, we have a peace in the midst of the chaos (not every minute :)) knowing that we are following the hand of God in this direction. We are so excited at the work He has done in our lives and for this opportunity for a fresh start for our family. We have been through many "train-wrecks" the past several years and have continued to cling to our faith through it all. We are thrilled about this door that God has opened for us and can't wait to experience our new life. Thanks for letting me share! Onward Yo-Yo we go!!!!
